Our Professional Tennis Coaches
A former ATP player born in Barcelona, Spain. Top junior player in Spain and Internationally. Member of the Spanish National Team alongside Rafael Nadal and Nicolas Almagro. Started playing on the ATP at 15 years old, was finalist of an ITF Future Tournament in Caldaro, Italy in 2003. Beat players inside the top 400 ranking in the ATP. Played College tennis at Laredo Community College where he won two national titles (team and individual). After graduating from Junior College he helped Fresno Pacific University (an NAIA participant) win their first ever national title. Defeated a former number #1 NCAA national ranked player. Has been coaching top junior players in the State of Texas for the last 12 years. He believes in hard work and consistency.
Mathias do Valle Santos Rocha
Mathias is a senior at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. He is the captain of the men’s tennis team and has been living in Texas since August 2014. His major is International Business and some of his athletics honors received during his college career include: Conference player of the week (2015 twice, 2016, and 2017), Conference Scholar Athlete (2015, 2016, and 2017), NAIA National Scholar Athlete (2016) and Big Blue Spotlight (Fall 2016). In Brazil, he was ranked top five in his state for U12, U14 and U18, state doubles champions in 2012, 6 times state team champion (2009-2014) and has won many juniors singles tournaments. His favorite hobbies are playing tennis, soccer, running, work out and hanging out with friends.
Luis Fernando Garcia
A native to Mexico City, Mexico, graduated from Clemson University in 2000. Luis played NCAA Division 1 Tennis under the leadership of head coach, Chuck Kriese. Lettered 4 years at Clemson University and was named team captain on his senior year. After graduating, he competed on the ATP tour 2000-2001 attaining an ATP ranking. Luis played against top professional players the likes of Gustavo Kuerten, Tommy Hass, Nicolas Lappenti just to name a few.
He was a top ranked junior player in Mexico throughout his junior career and represented Mexico internationally in top junior tournaments as the Orange Bowl.
